Website Service Agreement
This website is built and maintained by Ready Set Websites (ABN 53 193 026 319) ("we", "us") for John Carter Photography ("you", "the client"). This agreement sets out, in plain English, how that arrangement works.
1. Scope of work
We design, build, host and maintain your website as described in your chosen package. Anything outside that description — extra pages, new features, or ongoing content work — can be quoted separately before it starts.
2. Prices and payment
Your package is a one-off setup fee plus a monthly plan that covers hosting and ongoing management. The setup fee is payable before launch, and the monthly plan begins when your site goes live. All prices are in Australian dollars. No GST has been charged.
3. Your monthly plan, minimum term and locked price
The monthly plan runs for a minimum of 12 months, then continues month-to-month and can be cancelled by either of us with 30 days' notice. Your pricing is locked for 3 years from your start date — it won't increase during that time.
4. Revisions and changes
Your build includes two rounds of revisions. Reasonable changes within those rounds are included. Beyond that, or for work outside the agreed scope, further changes are handled as a Change Request at $95 per hour, always quoted and approved before any work starts. No surprise bills.
5. Your content and images
You provide the words and photographs for your site (or ask us to help source them). By supplying content you confirm you own it or have the right to use it. Your photography always remains yours.
6. Ownership
You own your content and images throughout. Once your setup fee and any outstanding invoices are paid, the website built for you is yours, and your domain name is registered to and owned by you. Any third-party items (such as fonts or plugins) remain under their own licences.
7. Hosting and support
Hosting and ongoing management are included in your monthly plan. If the plan ends, we'll hand over your website files and help you move your domain and site to a host of your choosing.
8. Payments in your store
When your store goes live, customer payments are processed by a secure third-party payment provider under their own terms. Card details are never collected or stored by the website itself.
9. Liability
We carry out our work with due care and skill. To the extent permitted by law — including the Australian Consumer Law, which may give you rights that cannot be excluded — our total liability under this agreement is limited to the amount you've paid us for the work in question. We're not liable for loss caused by third-party services (such as hosting, domain registrars or payment platforms) beyond our control.
10. General
This agreement is governed by Australian law. If any part is unenforceable, the rest still applies. Changes to this agreement apply only to new work, not work already underway.
